Communion - Part I

I have been studying teaching tapes on communion by Dr. John Miller. He has spent the past 10 years of his life concentrating on the communion message. I will be sharing a lot of the information that Dr. Miller taught in this series of teachings on Communion. Other men of God have recently been talking about taking communion in your homes on television's TBN station. God is stirring His people.

I want you to be a part of it! I hope you'll take communion with me on these web pages or order the CD so I can lead you in an audio communion service. You can gather your family or friends together, or it can be just you and I. The Bible tells us that wherever 2 or 3 are gathered in 'My Name' (the name of Jesus) that He will be there in our midst.

Paul said in I Corinthians Chapter 11 verse 23... For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you,... I like this wording which sounds very similar to that used later in the same Epistle when Paul expounds the Gospel message in just 2 verses: I Corinthians Chapter 15 verses 3 and 4. If you haven't had the gospel message presented to you get your hands on a bible and look up these passages. Not that I'm not going to preach to you from time to time and write it all out; I just want you to make sure you have a way to check everything out by the Word of God even if you've known me for years. I just happened to see a Bible at the Dollar Store the other day for, guess what? A dollar!

The reason I like Paul's presentation in those passages is because he says the words... 'for I delivered unto you "first of all" that which I also received'... (I like to add another "first of all" after that). In other words it's first things first! The first thing you have to do before you take communion is to be in a right relationship with Christ Jesus. Please don't take communion if Jesus isn't your Lord and Saviour! Communion is all about knowing Him and what He accomplished for us on that cross. To know is to discern and when we discern (know) the Lord's body; that it was bruised for our iniquities and wounded for our trangressions and by His stripes we are healed by faith when we take communion. Remember what I said faith was in my vision? Substance and Evidence! You can exercise your faith by preparing for the communion service with me. You have to buy the grape juice, and get the crackers or unleavened bread (I sometimes get pita bread) also the small plastic cups if you choose to use those and possibly my CD if you want me to lead you in the service. You can read the service on these pages and follow that if you'd like. It is still putting your faith to work by substance and evidence. How often you take communion is up to you. Dr. Miller has been taking communion at least once a day for the past 10 years. He has related testimonies of those who have taken communion 3 times a day.
